A Magical Backdrop for Haylee & Andrew
Without a doubt, they knew this lakeside haven was the ultimate destination for their dream wedding. Their destination western wedding unfolded with an electric atmosphere as they were surrounded by their closest friends and cherished family.
How it started…
First, we kicked off their day at their AirBnb, which came with a breathtaking lake view. Shortly after arriving, I got started on some detail shots.
The detail shots
Invitations
Haylee herself poured her heart into crafting the most exquisite and unique Western wedding invitations for her special day. When I first laid eyes on them, I knew they had to be front and center in the detail flatlay.
Flowers
And that’s not all! The bride’s mom, a talented florist, added her touch of magic by bringing vibrant spring florals all the way from Utah. Witnessing her transform the backyard into her daughter’s dream wedding reception was nothing short of astonishing.
The first look
During their first look, Haylee handed Andrew a bridal boudoir book she made just for him. It was a surprise filled with some steamy photos of her that we took just a month before. Undoubtedly, his reaction was priceless!
Style Notes
Their destination wedding exuded their love for western style – the unmistakable charm of cowboy boots, vintage turquoise jewelry, and everything that resonates with the wild west. In addition to their digital photography package, they sprinkled in a roll of film and 24 polaroids to infuse that dreamy, nostalgic aura.
Nevertheless, their unique style was nothing short of impeccable, staying true to who they are. Decked out in their favorite turquoise jewelry and western boots, Andrew perfected his look with a tan cowboy hat and a maroon colored jacket that harmonized flawlessly with their western-themed wedding. Similarly to Andrew’s outfit choice, Haylee’s wedding dress was a masterpiece from the lovely Utah bridal boutique, designed by @tanyagrig_official. Adding her own twist to the already stunning gown, Haylee had her dress designer create polka dot sleeves and a matching skirt for her reception look – an absolute showstopper.
Nerves kicked in
After their nerves settled from finally being able to see each other during their first look we headed to their ceremony. Everything unfolded at Buckskin State Park in Parker, Arizona, where 40 of their closest people who journeyed all the way from Utah, gathered to celebrate. It was an intimate affair with a view that stretched over the Colorado River. Afterward, I captured their couple’s session in the nearby cactus garden, providing a perfect moment to soak in the significance of the day.
When we returned to their backyard reception, the atmosphere was electrified with their favorite country artists crooning in the background. As the sun dipped below the horizon, everyone came together for heartfelt speeches and a delightful cake cutting. The rest of the night was all about cherishing the company of their dear friends and family, who had journeyed to Arizona to share this joyful day.
Lastly, it was such a pleasure to spend my day with Haylee and Andrew. They are nothing short of extraordinarily kind and I cherished every moment of documenting their day.
