Kicking things off with Rehearsal Dinner before their Wine Country Wedding!
They rented an Airbnb on top of a hillside with their wedding party and close family members. Dinner consisted of homemade pizzas by Teddy who owns @burrymeinpizza and it was honestly the best pizza I’ve ever had!
On the following day after their rehearsal dinner, it could not have been a more beautiful day to document Alayna + Ryan’s big day amongst the golden hills. Their wine-country wedding was located at The Fabliest in Templeton, California. You’re welcomed by an abundance of vineyards, olive, and oak trees as you exit the city. A place that radiates this sense of a new beginning as the locals vintage this year’s harvest. Alayna + Ryan share their private vows during their first look with each other while overlooking the Templeton, California vineyards. This allowed for a private moment together before saying the official “I do” during ceremony.
The wedding ceremony is one of my favorite parts of the day for more reasons than one. No matter how long or short they may be, it feels like something unexplainably magical happens.
Picture this: your walk down the aisle. Your friends & family shed happy tears anticipating your arrival. And then, you lock eyes with the person who makes you feel at home and that’s it. Time truly feels like it’s standing still. Alayna & Ryan were all about having candid wedding photography on their intimate wedding day. They also chose to add on 35mm film and super 8mm video to help encompass that nostalgic dreamy feeling. Check out their full super 8mm video on my YouTube channel via the link above.
We snuck away for a bit to capture Alayna & Ryan’s couple’s photos in the golden hills of wine country.
It was the most gorgeous sunset overlooking hills on hills on vineyards. We sampled some grapes, talked about how smooth the day went, and enjoyed each other’s company. The perfect bliss before heading back to their wine-country reception.
When it came to their wine-country wedding reception, not one person was disappointed.
They popped things off with a grand entrance and went straight to a game of King’s Cup (guys vs. girls). The reception really kicked things off! I don’t think I’ve ever photographed a reception where absolutely everyone was on the dance floor (including the bartenders). Overall, this wine-country wedding reminded me of how grateful I am to be able to document these fleeting moments in a couple’s life.
